Man arrested for counterfeit alcohol to the value of 4 million in Muldersdrift

Sergeant Mulalo Ndou from West Rand District Communications confirmed the incident and that one suspect, who is the owner of the rented storage was arrested and detained at Muldersdrift Police Station.

On Tuesday, November 9 while conducting provincial liquor operations, members of the Gauteng Provincial Liquor Task Team received information of a large consignment of alcohol at one of the storage facilities in the Muldersdrift area.

They discovered counterfeit alcohol to the approximate value of R4 000 000 at the facility.

One suspect was arrested for contravening section (42) (62) of the National Liquor Act 59 of 2002 and will appear in court soon.
