Missing dog found locked up on vacant property

It was further reported that the barking came from a vacant premises in the area, which was out of the ordinary.

On Wednesday, October 13 a resident of Little Falls requested BCI security to assist in the search for his two dogs that had somehow managed to get out of his property.

After hours of following up on leads, the one dog named Lulu returned and was reunited with the owner; however the black Staffie named Duke was still missing.

BCI security continued with the search for Duke and several leads were followed up, to no avail.

The following morning at about 08:00 the owner of the dogs was contacted by a resident in Strubens Valley stating that she had heard a dog barking throughout the night.

It was further reported that the barking came from a vacant premises in the area, which was out of the ordinary.

BCI Operations Manager Dawid Brits met up with the owner and conducted a search of the premises. They found Duke locked in a room on the vacant property.

“Duke was rescued and reunited with his family. BCI Security would like to thank the concerned resident for the tip-off regarding the barking dog,” said Dawid.
