Two killed when car ploughed into tree

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known.

On Saturday, 1 June, a vehicle crashed into a tree on Elias Motsoaledi Street in Dobsonville, killing two people.

When ER24 paramedics, together with Johannesburg fire personnel, arrived on the scene at about 10am, they found the men still trapped in the vehicle. “Fire and rescue services had to use mechanical tools to remove them from the vehicle, said Werner Vermaak, ER24s spokesperson.

It is reported that there was nothing that could be done for them as they had sustained fatal injuries and were declared dead on the scene.

Vermaak concluded by saying, “The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known; however, local authorities attended the scene and will conduct an investigation.”
