BMW suspects targets two properties within minutes

KCVA has issued warning regarding the suspects' modus operandi.

The modus operandi of three suspects in a silver BMW seems to be to aggressively target several houses sequentially, in a short space of time.

Kruin Community Voluntary Association’s (KCVA) founder member, Senior State Advocate Deon van Wyk, yesterday issued a warning on one of the association’s Whatsapp groups. It read as follows:

“[Yesterday (6 December) at] about 4.11pm wall jumping occurred at an address in Mimosa Street in Wilro Park. Three suspects driving a silver BMW with a registration starting with “CX” were involved. The driver is described as older and chubby. The two passengers on the other hand are much younger than the driver. No damage was done due to the vigilance of a KCVA member who interrupted the attempt.

“Then at about 4.30pm an alleged armed robbery took place at an address in Fairchild Street in Helderkruin. Again three suspects driving a silver BMW were involved. Shots were fired but no injuries occurred,” wrote Van Wyk.

He then went on to emphasise that the “Distance between the two locations was only 4,9 km. An estimated fastest drive time between the two addresses of only nine minutes. The common denominators were three suspects and a silver BMW used at both addresses.

“As previously warned, crime has become organised. More than one target is selected to be hit in sequence,” concluded Van Wyk.
