Police issue vehicle-related warning

Apparent spike in vehicle-related crimes.

The office of Brigadier Manala, commander of the Roodepoort Police has issued a warning pertaining specifically to vehicle-related crimes.

A spike in these crimes has been noted. Spokesperson Juliet Mogale gave the following advice:

• When visiting friends or family, do not park your car on the pavement or the street, especially when there’s no one guarding it, to avoid your vehicle being stolen.

• Do not leave valuables such as hand bags, laptops and wallets in your vehicle to avoid these being stolen from your vehicle.

The police also once again appealed to the public to report crime on 011 279 6428 or 082 412 8312.
