Suspicious circumstances surrounding three vehicle thefts

The residents also discovered that there was no forced entry, which means the men were let in either by the security guards or someone else in the complex.

Residents of Die Eike complex in Hamberg are concerned after vehicles had been stolen from the complex premises on three occasions within a relatively short time.

But on 21 March at about 1.30am three vehicles were stolen. A resident was standing on his balcony smoking when he saw the first vehicle drive out. At first he did not find it odd but when another two vehicles drove out he realised what was happening and alerted his neighbours. It was too late though.

What the resident found strange though is that the two security guards who have to open the gate manually to let people in and out of the premises, said while they were patrolling five men overpowered them and held them at gunpoint. One of them initially said he was hit with the gun, but then changed his version of the events, saying he was kicked. He changed his tune again, saying he was pepper-sprayed.

The eyewitness said three people arrived in a white BMW and waited outside for the five thieves. After they had driven the stolen vehicles out of the premises they followed the white BMW.

Again the residents’ suspicions were raise when a tenant said another tenant was seen talking to men in a white BMW at the gate the day prior to the incident.

The police were called but failed to show up.
