Video: Tow trucker seriously assaulted by rival tow truckers (Graphic images and language)
Shocking video footage has come to light.
A local tow trucker, Johnny Vance, was assaulted last night (19 October) to the extent that his jaw was broken, his spine injured, four ribs cracked and his skull fractured.
The incident took place at the corner of Spencer and Main Reef Roads in Stormill. It is alleged that Vance was attacked by drivers of a rival towing company. The reason for the altercation is not known at this stage. According to Vance’s father, Ernest, his son was taken to hospital and is currently (1.15pm) being assessed by doctors to determine the extent of reconstructive surgery he requires.

Ernest said he already obtained the JT88 forms (issued by a doctor as proof to the police that a victim was assaulted) and plans to open a case later today.
Towards the end of the video, a man can be heard saying that the video must be posted on social media as a warning to others. The video was allegedly later posted on the tow truckers’ WhatsApp group.
The Record is currently waiting for comment from the towing company where the alleged attackers are employed.
