#PelserTrial: Grandmother takes to the stand
Linda became emotional during her testimony but was able to regain her composure.
At about 12.30pm Linda Rothman, grandmother of murdered baby Deon took the stand for the first time during the trial.

The State asked her to relate her version of the fateful day’s events, which corresponded with the version the baby’s mother, Bianca had given, bar for the parts where Linda was in the house alone: when she went into the house for the first time on the day of the murder and once when she went to clean up the house a few days later. The last she abandoned after coming across the bloodied babygrow and vest Deon had worn on the day of his murder. This she disposed of before leaving the house as she had found it.
Linda became emotional during her testimony but was able to regain her composure.

The court is currently adjourned for lunch and will resume at 2pm when the defence is expected to cross-examine Linda.
