Saturday’s stop-and-search leads to multiple arrests
One arrested for possession of counterfeit notes.
The weekend took a turn for the worst for 20 suspected criminals this past Saturday (26 August).
Roodepoort Police members conducted a stop-and-search operation and arrested the suspects, aged between 18 and 54, on the following charges – possession of dagga, theft, fraud, possession of counterfeit notes, assault with the intention to do grievous bodily harm (GBH), drunken driving, possession of housebreaking implements, possession of a dangerous weapon, shoplifting and possession of drugs.
The suspects were detained at Roodepoort Police Station and will appear in court soon.
