Have a Heart and help the elderly

Accommodation available as well

The Have A Heart Care Centre is appealing to the community to find it in their hearts to assist them in their time of need.

“With the prices of food and all other essentials skyrocketing, we are battling to keep our heads above water. We are in desperate need of a gas stove and non-perishable food for the residents,” said Marius Oelofse, founder of the centre.

He added that they have accommodation available for 11 people. “The Care Centre caters for pensioners who have to live on a state pension. Each one of them pays a monthly amount of R1 100 – they do not stay for free,” he said.

Anyone who can help with any donations, or wants to apply for accommodation can contact Marius on 082 952 7151.

Marius concluded by thanking the community for all the support received to date and said, “From the bottom of our hearts we thank everyone who has already offered assistance and donations.”
