Scores of suspects arrested during special operations
Suspects detained at Roodepoort Police Station.
This past week (15 to 19 May) Roodepoort Police arrested 57 suspects on various charges during special stop-and-search operations.
The suspects were arrested on the following charges: possession of dagga, assault with the intention to cause grievous bodily harm, housebreaking with intent to steal, possession of drugs, shoplifting, reckless and negligent driving, fraud, armed robbery, undocumented persons, public violence, contempt of court and theft.
The ages of the suspects ranged from 22 to 61.
They were detained at Roodepoort Police Station.
