Three people died this past Sunday (9 April) when the bakkie they travelled in rolled.

At 3.44am on Sunday morning Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a collision on the R41 in Durban Deep, said Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha. According to reports the bakkie that carried nine people overturned and its twisted frame came to rest on the gravel next to the roadway. The canopy broke away from it.
Paramedics and firemen found debris and people lying over a large area. It was found that three people died on scene, three were in a critical condition and three others were seriously injured. Paramedics treated the injured before they transported them to various hospitals.

Exact details of the cause of the crash and preceding events are, however, still speculative and will be investigated by police.
