Proposed street name changes on the agenda

The councillor for Ward 84, Gert Niemand is inviting Roodepoort residents to a public meeting on proposed new street names.

The meeting will be held on 11 January at the Roodepoort City Hall on Berlandina Street and will start at 6pm. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the proposed renaming of two streets in Roodepoort.

The proposals include the renaming of Mare Street to Ahmed Timol Street, and Harold Street to Amina Desai Street. Residents affected by these proposed changes or who have any input regarding these matters, are welcome to attend this public meeting where they can raise their concerns or lend their support.
