A pink bundle of joy for Christmas

Christmas blessing for Beatrice

Babies are one of the greatest gifts a parent can receive – and to make it even more special – is receiving this gift on Christmas Day.

Beatrice Zulu from Weltevreden Park gave birth to a healthy baby girl on 25 December at Life Flora Clinic. Aphiwe was born at at 8:14 pm, weighed 3.9 kilograms and measured 52 centimetres.

“I am very happy and to hold this little bundle in my arms is amazing,” said a clearly elated Beatrice.

According to her the pregnancy was a high risk one, with a few stumble blocks along the way and she is very happy the outcome was a good one.

“It all feels surreal, like I still have nine more months before she should be born. It hasn’t quite sunk in yet,” Beatrice said, smiling.

Aphiwe’s grandparents, Nathaniel and Francisca Zulu were smiling from ear to ear while visiting with their first grandchild. “We are overwhelmed, but very happy. She is a Christmas blessing and we will spoil her rotten, as grandparents are supposed to do!” they said.

The Record wants to congratulate the Zulu family on the birth of their baby girl.
