Curves keeps up tradition at Baby Moses

Christmas party at Baby Moses

It has become a Christmas tradition for the women at Curves Strubens Valley to surprise Baby Moses Baby Sanctuary with gifts and a Christmas party. Every year, the women from Curves each select a child’s name and decorate a box filled with goodies such as shoes, toys, clothing and gifts in accordance with the child’s age and gender. The gifts will be handed out to the children on Christmas morning.

This year, the women of Curves also prepared gifts for Baby Moses’ care workers, amounting to 29 boxes and this pleased Lanie de Klerk.

“It is wonderful and amazing that these women have once again made the children happy with their gifts. What makes me even happier is how they included the care workers in their thoughts and made up a box for each of them,” she said.

Curves branch manager Nathanie Hislop has been in the forefront of this project since its inception and said she is grateful to all the sponsors and women who have stepped up to make a difference in the lives of the children in the haven.

“Everyone contributed to making this a party for the children. We have food and presents and lots more to make this day very special for them.

We are really grateful to everyone who came forward and volunteered their services, whether it be providing food or boxes,” she said.
