Achievements recognised at special day

Unified Public School honours pupils at annual honours day

The learners were all very excited to receive recognition for a year’s hard work on the morning of 28 October.

Unified Public School held their annual Honours Day where learners from Grade R to 9 received awards for academic and sport achievements, as well as a few special awards in various other categories.

The proceedings were started with scripture reading and prayer, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.

The best achievers in Afrikaans, English and Mathematics received gold, silver and bronze medals as well as certificates. The overall best performers in each class also received a special prize.

The day’s events were concluded with some special awards being handed out to the most consistent achiever in the Foundation Phase (Grade R to 3), athletes that were part of the district team, the seniors that participated in the Battle of the Books competition, the Story Skirmish winners and the scholar patrol.
