The councillor for Ward 71, René Benjamin, invites residents to attend a public meeting entitled ‘Civic education on ward committee nominations and elections’, which will take place on 26 October.
The session will run from 6pm to 8pm, at the Witpoortjie Recreation Centre, 824 Vermooten Rd, Roodepoort. Transport will be available at the following pick up points: Davidsonville MPCC, Princess Old Garage and Engen Garage on Corlett Avenue.
Ward 71 includes the following areas: Princess AH, Lindhaven, Reefhaven, Witpoortjie, Groblerpark Extention, Davidsonville and Wilfordon.
