Dog fighting for its life after being stabbed

ER24 rushed dog to vet.

A dog that was stabbed by an alleged intruder on a property in Allens Nek is fighting for its life.

ER24 paramedics were called to the property earlier today (21 September) after guards from a security company had found the dog, believed to be about five years old, with stab wounds to its chest and bleeding profusely. The guards tried to assist it and keep it still.

Upon arrival at the scene, paramedics took over treatment and rushed the dog to a veterinarian in Randpark Ridge by ambulance.

Paramedics said they hope the efforts by everyone on scene including the veterinarians contribute to the dog’s recovery.

ER24 thanked all security companies including Nick Frost from Londoloza Protection Group as well as veterinarians and the Johannesburg Specialist Veterinary Centre for their efforts.
