Klinkenberg: Not suicide but murder

Does Klinkenberg's death have any connection to Krugersdorp murders?

The death of Robert Klinkenberg will henceforth be the subject of a murder investigation, although the case was first treated as a suicide.

According to Captain Appel Ernst of the Randfontein Police, the findings of the post mortem have forced the police to change the investigation. Klinkenberg was found on 3 December 2015 with a gunshot wound to his head in the Magaliesberg area. He was found close to his red Porsche.

Another rumour that has been growing stronger is that Klinkenberg’s murder is connected to the Krugersdorp murders, where two brokers and an estate agent were murdered in the same fashion on their way to 6pm appointments earlier this year, but the investigating officer, Captain Ben Booysens, has denied this, saying, “[The Klinkenburg case] has absolutely nothing to do with the Krugersdorp murders”.
