Chaos on Doreen after wild car chase
The reason why the suspects fled is still not clear.
About an hour ago Doreen Road was turned into a crime scene akin to the movies.
Details are still sketchy but according to Ivan Shaw of DMS Security a car chase started in Roodekrans when patrolling police spotted a silver BMW with four males occupants. They decided to pull over the vehicle but just as the police got out of their vehicle the four suspects sped off and the police gave chase. Just past Van Dalen Street the suspects drove into the veld and attempted to flee on foot.
Shaw, who is on the scene, said he is uncertain but he believes “three suspects were arrested”.
The reason why the suspects fled is still not clear.
This came after eight suspects had robbed the Ruimsig Spur last night.
