Maragon pupils excel at SANESA qualifiers

Pupils in SANESA qualifiers

Maragon Primary School’s Equestrian team participated in the 4th Qualifier of the South African National Equestrian Schools Association (SANESA) competition earlier this month. The participants are competing in the series of qualifiers to make it into the Gauteng Finals in August and the Gauteng West Team.

Riding the horse Joepe Ronnet, Jessica de Wit competed in the Performance riding – Level 5 and Extreme Equitation – Level 5.

She finished both categories in second position. She then changed horses and rode Saratoga Anastasia in the Jumping (Accumulator) Level 2 event.

She finished in second position. Her next event was the Performance riding – Level 3 and she finished in third position.

Megan Wright was next, riding Chevigon Winning Way in the Equitation – Level 6 event and finished in second position.

She followed up that performance with a first place finish in the Extreme Equitation – Level 5 event.

She also finished in second position in the Working hunter – Level 7 event.

Riding Forest Fire, Caleigh Robson participated in the Extreme equitation – Level 1 event and finished in first place. In the Working riding – Level 3 event and also finished in first place.

Danica Robson competed in the Extreme Equitation – Level 1, riding Foxy. She finished the event in first position. She also claimed a third place finish in the Working hunter-Level 1event.

Riding Chevigon Winning ways, Caylin Barendsen participated on the Prix Caprilli (test 1) – Level 1 where she finished in fourth position.

Competing in the Equitation – Level 0 and riding Major Decision, Joy Sithole grabbed a first place finish. She followed that up with another top of the podium finish in the Jumping (Accumulator) – Level 0 event.
