Father and 12-year-old daughter injured in accident
Vehicle swerves into lane knocking motorcycle over.
A father and his 12-year-old daughter were injured this morning after they were knocked off a motorcycle at the intersection of CR Swart and Ouklip Roads in Roodekrans.
Paramedics from the ER24 Johannesburg West branch arrived on the scene and found the father lying next to his motorcycle, on the side of the road. The child was found seated in the road a few metres away.
On assessment, paramedics discovered that the man had a possible fracture to one leg, while the child had escaped with only minor injuries.
ER24 paramedics treated both patients and transported them to a private hospital for further treatment.The driver of the light motor vehicle that hit them fortunately did not sustain any injuries.
It is understood that the driver of the light motor vehicle swerved across lanes, and knocked the two people off the motorcycle.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
