What happened hours before Hanle went missing

After Hanle's appointment in Chancliff yesterday afternoon, where did she go?

Knight Estates’ president, Marina Heydenrych, confirmed with the News that Hanle Lategan met up with one of her agents at a unit in an estate in Chancliff yesterday afternoon before Lategan missed her appointment at 6pm.

The events around Lategan’s disappearance happened as follows:

• At 5.30pm Lategan and Lucia du Plessis met at an estate in Chancliff.

• At 5.50pm Lategan left the estate to go to her 6pm viewing in Dove Street in Horison.

• At 6.30pm the owner of the property Lategan was to view became suspicious as Lategan is a no show.

• At 6.50pm an attempt to withdraw cash with Lategan’s bankcard from an Absa ATM in Rant-en-Dal was declined and allegedly later at the Absa ATM in Krugersdorp West at Delta Spar as well.

• At 8.45pm an urgent be on the lookout alert for Lategan was sent out across various emergency WhatsApp groups and on social media pages.

• At 9.45pm Lategan’s branded vehicle was found in Burger Street, parked in front of the at private hospital.

Du Plessis said that she did not see anyone follow Lategan nor knew who she had an appointment with.

Patrollers from all the Community Policing Forums of Krugersdorp searched the perimeters of Krugersdorp for Lategan until the early hours of this morning.

Early this morning, the body of a woman was found in a veld in Elandsvlei near Randfontein and a few hours later Lategan’s husband confirmed to the News that the body was that of his wife.

The News requested urgent comment from Krugersdorp Police following the three gruesome murders in the past three weeks.
