Man critical after crashing into stationary vehicle
Other vehicle already involved in accident.
A man had to be extricated from a light delivery vehicle in the early hours of 29 May on Hendrik Potgieter Road.
It is understood that the driver crashed into one of two cars that were already involved in a previous collision.
On arrival at the scene, ER24 paramedics and other services including Fire and Rescue found that the man, believed to be in his 40s, was trapped in the light delivery vehicle.
The paramedics quickly assessed the patient, and found him to be in a critical condition. The jaws of life were then used to extricate him, after which he was treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.
None of the occupants of the other vehicles involved were were injured.
Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
