Bright family celebrates Mother’s Day together

Rehabilitation will take long.

The Bright family celebrated Mother’s Day with Marilize at the Netcare Rehabilitation Hospital.

According to family spokesperson Alan Bright, “It was a good day for the family. Marilize, in a wheelchair, spent the whole day with her husband and children. She is getting stronger by the day and does a lot of things on her own. She will start training on Monday.

“She started practising hand-eye coordination and it is estimated that it would take seven to eight weeks for her to recover. She needs rehabilitation to help her recover from the stroke she had in the first week after the accident, owing to the swelling around her brain. She felt depressed after being told how long the rehabilitation process would be, but she stays positive.

No trial date has been set for the suspects who hijacked the family, because one suspect is still in hospital.
