Discovery Primary’s pupil in JOMO team

Pupil makes it to provincial netball team

Discovery Primary Full Service School’s Kirsten Banks has made it into the JOMO (Johannesburg and Mogale) team.

This comes after a journey of hard trials where she had to show off her talent and skills in the sport.

Kirsten first participated in the Netball area trials for the Gauteng Netball team.

The trials were held at her school in March where 12 other schools participated.

Three contenders were then selected in each position with Kirsten being one of them, to go onto the District trials earlier this month (5 April) at the same venue.

Here, Kirsten once again took advantage of being at home in her own school and impressed the selectors.

This led to her being chosen to participate in Jomo Regional Trials in Hoërskool Florida where D9, D10, D11, D12, D14 districts were involved.

Only four contenders per position were selected and Kirsten continued to proudly represent her school as she made it into the team.
