There is a very special connection, a unique bond, between a pet and it’s owner. This special relationship, that can often last for many years, is often a very important part of the ‘pet parents’ life. Their loved pets are considered to be part of the family; a family member.
National Pet Parents Day was created to honor all dedicated pet parents across the nation with their own special day.

Founded by Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI) in 2007, National Pet Parents Day, an “unofficial” national holiday, was created from inspiration in seeing the majority of their policyholders consider their pets as part of their family.
