Suspect arrested for attempted murder
Argument at tavern leads to stabbing.
While patrolling on Saturday 9 April at around 9pm, Florida’s Visible Policing Unit received a complaint of an attempted murder at a tavern in the Florida CBD.
On the scene they found a young male sitting on the pavement, bleeding profusely. They found he had been stabbed in the upper body.
The owner of the tavern explained to the police that the victim and suspect had an argument, which led to the suspect grabbing a bottle and stabbing the victim.
The owner then handed the suspect, who he had in custody, to the police.
The suspect, 36, was detained for attempted murder and will appear in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court soon.
