In a time when people get killed for their cellphones it is refreshing to find the occasional act of kindness and honesty.
Last year October a resident came to the Record to ask whether the newspaper could help him find the owner of a wallet that was left in his vehicle when he gave a security guard a lift. An article was published and another resident, Collen Leshabela, recognised a member of his church as the owner of his wallet. The owner subsequently was reunited with his wallet and the few hundred rand inside.
Today (6 April) it was Collen’s turn to contribute to restoring faith in humanity. Collen picked up the wallet of Thabani Richard Nkosi on Wilgerood Road with money and bank cards inside and wishes to return it to him.
