It is believed the notorious ‘Black Audi’ gang has been spotted again this past Saturday.
It was reported on a crime watch social media group, Emergency 24/7, that the vehicle was spotted in Witpoortjie in Hulley Street. It seems that Witpoortjie is the gang’s favourite hunting grounds after various incidents and sightings in the area.

Here is a timeline of what is assumed to be the same suspects’ activities.
• On 7 March the gang struck twice in one evening. At around 8pm they attempted to rob a family in Andries Pretorius Street. After assaulting a female living in the house, one of the male members of the family managed to scare away the suspects. Later the same evening at around midnight they robbed residents in Pannel Street in Mindalore and shot dead the male homeowner.

• A few days later the gang was spotted again – in Lichtenstein Street in Witpoortjie.
• On 10 March five suspects were arrested but police let them go, saying they were not the gang members.
• 14 March the gang was spotted again – in Payne Street in Witpoortjie.
• On 17 March the gang attempted to rob a family in Dabchick Street in Florida Lake at gunpoint but were prevented from entering the house.
• On 23 March there was an attempted business robbery at Hillfox Shopping Centre. Shots were exchanged between the suspects and the police but the suspects managed to get away.
