Law Society’s report on Klinkenberg still pending
Rumours are vindictive, says source.
The Klinkenberg Incorporated report of the Law Society of the Northern Province is still pending according to a source.
Various previous clients of the now defunct law firm has contacted the Record with queries surrounding their dealings with Klinkenberg Incorporated. The Law Society has been contacted for commented but has yet to reply. Meanwhile clients can contact the Law Society on 012 338 5800 and ask to speak to Johan van Staden who has been appointed by the High Court as the curator of Klinkenberg Incorporated.
A source also told the Record the rumours about Klinkenberg Incorporated’s financial status are “vindictive and people have to wait for the Law Society’s final report”. The person went on to say it is members of the Roodepoort law fraternity who are spreading the rumours because “they are like vultures and only after the old Klinkenberg clients’ business”.

The police could not be reached for comment on the status of the investigation into the death of the founder of the law firm, Robert Klinkenberg, who was found dead near his vehicle on 3 December 2015.
