Seven grievances every bartender has

Are you a bartender who can relate to the grievances above?

Are you perhaps guilty of irritating a bartender because of your indecisiveness or impatience?

Sometimes people say things to bartenders without realising they may get angry but they cannot show it.

Bartender Appreciation Day originated in America to value them for working ridiculous hours.

Another reason why this day was invented is because bartenders do much more than just mix drinks. They offer a kind of quiet support to troubled, frustrated customers.

To give recognition to this day, here are a few complaints and quotes from famous bartenders in America regarding what they hate about their job:

1. When people ask you for a drink off another bar’s menu.

2. “Stop telling me the strange girl next to you needs a drink. I have eyes. She has a voice. She’s most likely still not going home with you.”

3. “Flirty notes I receive on your receipt with your phone number. I’m not texting you ever.”

4. When a customer gives a vague order like, “I want something fruity that doesn’t taste like alcohol.”

5. When people order 1000 drinks and then get mad if they aren’t ready in two minutes.

6. “The guy who says he’ll tip you at the end of the night and deliberately and without guilt, drinks all his cash.”

7. “Anyone who pulls their payment from a shoe, bra or underwear.”
