How to protect your computer’s security

Have a good anti-virus software installed.

There are many times where hackers secretly gain access to your social media accounts and personal information on the Internet.

Identity theft and viruses  can make  online experiences challenging.

Computer Security Day was introduced in 1988 so that people are reminded to make sure their computer is protected.

Here’s how you can do that:

• Make sure strong passwords are always used to access your computer as well as sign into your online accounts.

• Log off your computer properly if you are not using it and not just close it.

• Use trusted sources. When downloading software (including antivirus software), get it from a trusted source.

• Have a good anti-virus software installed.

• Download and install a firewall.

• Make sure important information is backed-up.
