Last chance to qualify for MidMar

Final seeding event for Midmar Mile Challenge.

West Rand swimmers are on high alert as this weekend will be the final chance for them to get a good seeding for the 2016 aQuellé Midmar Mile.

The seeding season kicked off in fine style earlier this month with the Dis-Chem Sun City Swim.

Heia Safari Ranch will be the location for the Heia Safari Swim Challenge 2.

These seeding events, which are hosted in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal, provide an excellent opportunity to gain experience and to ensure swimmers are seeded with athletes of a similar ability in the aQuellé Midmar Mile.

During the last 12 months there has been a change in the ownership of the Heia Safari Ranch.

One of the key goals of the new owners is to integrate the Heia Safari Ranch into a larger conservancy that has been setup in the area.

This is not only about supporting the land, plant life and wild life that is synonymous with the area but also to maintain the clean water of the dam system.
