Two drug dealers again released without bail

State prosecutor sends docket back again.

For the second time in two months suspects caught in major drug busts have walked free being unconditionally released without bail.

On 15 October Florida Police and Florida Sector Two CPF bust a hydrophonics dagga operation in 10th Street. Large quantities of dagga, dagga plants and equipment was seized and two suspects were arrested. But both have been released unconditionally after the State Prosecutor send the docket back saying the CPF members have to give their statements.

This follows three drug dealers also being unconditionally released after they were arrested on 11 August when police caught them with R47 000 worth of drugs. As in the latest case the State Prosecutor send the docket back saying the case must be further investigated. The police then had to wait for the laboratory result of the drugs that were tested. The docket is with the State Prosecutor again but the suspects had not been rearrested.

The Record is currently waiting for the case numbers in order to find out from the State Prosecutor why this has occurred.
