Roodepoort Primary will be reopened on Tuesday, said Gauteng Premier David Makhura earlier today at a press conference.
This comes after the mediation team handed over their report to Makhura. He said the school is in a position to open but admitted there are still outstanding issues.
Although the school opens on Tuesday classes will only commence on Wednesday. Counselling will be provided for the teachers and pupils “to heal the wounds” said Makhura.
A catch-up plan has also been put in place.
Community members have indicated they are happy for now.
