Community and law enforcement take hands

Increase visible policing.

Discovery Community Forum (DCF), the Metro Police, Dunmar Security, ER24 and Leandra Real Estate recently joined forces on a Saturday to send a message to law breakers.

The teams manned both the intersections of Anstruter and Melville Street as well as Anstruter and Frere Street where motorists regularly jumps the stop street. Metro Police also made two vehicles available to patrol the area. ER24 was on the scene for any medical emergencies while Dunmar Security were the muscle of the event.

Leandra Real Estate helped by undertaking an initiative where every house in the area are photographed with their address to make it easier for security and emergency services to find.

“It is important for us to send out a message to law breakers as well as the community that we are visible and involved,” said Hennie Matthews the Patrol Captain.
