Premier to visit school under explosive circumstances

Surrounding communities to be bussed in.

The Gauteng Premier David Makhura and Member of the Executive Committee (MEC) for Education, Panyaza Lesufi, will be visiting the embattled Roodepoort Primary School early this evening.

Makhura and Lesufi will make one final attempt to find a lasting solution for the strive at the school that has started back in 2011. The coloured community is demanding the black principal be replaced with a coloured one.

The sparks might fly tonight though as the Record received information that members of the surrounding black communities such as Durban Deep, Matholiesville and Sol Plaatjie are going to be bussed in to Davidsonville in support of the black pupils and teachers.

The imbizo will take place at 5pm.
