Helderkruin Clinic’s extreme makeover

Clinic gets revamped.

The Church of Jesus Christ – Latter Day Saints in Roodepoort has partnered with the government to renovate the Helderkruin Clinic as part of their Mormon Helping Hands Programme.

The Mormon Helping Hands Programme is a world-wide initiative that provides community service to those in need.

“We are always looking to help people and organisations. There are still many more projects to come in the future,” said Wesley O’Moore, Project Communications manager for the Mormon Helping Hands Programme.

The project started 30 May and will proceed until 15 August this year.

Because the church identified the clinic to be in need, the church formed working parties to assist with cleaning the clinic.

The work parties have been assisting with cleaning the Clinic’s grounds and roof gutters, pulling out weeds and painting the walls.

The renovations will commence on 18 July and the programme needs to be completed by 15 August.

People of all age groups interested to volunteer may contact Wesley.
