Just before 1pm this afternoon an accident occurred at the intersection of Generaal Pienaar Avenue and Ham Street – again.
A white Toyota bakkie was travelling from Corlette Avenue down Ham Street when it collided with a white Golf travelling from Albertina Sisulu Road down Generaal Pienaar Avenue.
Although there were extensive damage to the Golf no one was injured. Police were on the scene to control traffic.
On the scene there was consensus by residents that the authorities has to act in order to regulate traffic at this accident hot spot which sees almost as many accidents as the intersection at Ontdekkers and Corlett Roads.
The Record could not reach the Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) for comment.
