Witpoortjie’s 1st Eagles Scout Group from took claimed fourth position when they participated in last month’s Kon Tiki 2015 event.

Kon-Tiki is an annual raft building competition and teams compete to build and live on a raft for a weekend.

With this year’s theme “there be dragons,” they were up against 55 teams from around Gauteng.

Eagles Scout Troop Scouter, Hennie Visser was proud of his team’s efforts in the event and was grateful to everyone who made it possible.

“What an amazing result from and amazing team. We are so proud of our scouts for this achievement. We couldn’t have achieved this without the support from everyone so a big thank you to everyone from the transporters to the luggage carries and anyone else. To the Scouters team who bring it all together and most importantly to the Scouts for upholding the Eagles name high and ensure we soar,” he said.
