Smash and grab warning for motorists
ER24 issued a warning to motorists to be careful of smash and grabbers.
A smash and grab incident on the Wilgerood Road and Christiaan de Wet Road intersection has motorists on high alert.
This has prompted ER24 to issue a warning to motorists about being careful in the evening.
The incident occurred yesterday when Angela-Nicole Haytread stop at the intersection when a man came out of the bushes and smashed through her vehicle’s window, in clear view of ER24 paramedics.
The paramedics opted to remain with Haytread until help arrived and did not chase the suspect.
She was not injured and did not require medical assistance.
Haytread said the suspect did not manage to take anything in the vehicle.
