Six injured in taxi accident
Six people were injured after a taxi collided with a light motor vehicle last night.
The incident occurred at the Ondekkers and 6th Road intersection in Newlands.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found both vehicles parked on the side of the road.
Occupants from the taxi were found sitting next to their vehicle.
ER 24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said paramedics assessed the scene and found that five occupants from the taxi had sustained only minor injuries.
The patients were treated for their injuries and transported to Helen Joseph Hospital for further treatment.
No-one from the light motor vehicle had sustained any injuries.
It is understood the taxi had skipped the traffic light at the intersection, causing the collision.
Police were on scene for further investigations.
