City Parks plans clean-ups in Roodepoort

Starting with Horison Park in Horison, Joburg City Parks has plans to do horticultural maintenance in many Roodepoort and Florida areas.

Some of the operations are already underway. The maintenance jobs are scheduled to take place between 9 and 13 February in parts of Roodepoort and Florida in both developed and undeveloped parks, informal settlements, main roads and public open spaces.

Maintenance is planned for Horison, Durban Deep, Roodepoort CBD, Lindhaven, Constantia Kloof, Wilro Park, Florida, Florida Park, Helderkruin, Fleurhof, Quellerina, Rand Park Ridge, Weltevreden Park and Honeydew.

Joburg City Parks’ service level agreement turn around times include; for grass cutting in open spaces up to 30 days from complaint, grass cutting in cemeteries up to seven days, fallen trees or fallen branches up to 24 hours and general tree pruning up to 30 days. Grass cutting in parks depends on the status of the park.
