It registered an increase in serious crimes last year including murder (28.8%), attempted murder (83%) and robbery with aggravating circumstances (35.8%).

More criminals stole from vehicles (32.5%), jacked vehicles (42.3%) and robbed businesses during business hours (106.9%). At least 40% more incidences of public violence were recorded.

Sexual crime in the area decreased by 15%, however, and 49 less residents were caught driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Commercial crime and shoplifting decreased somewhat and less cases of crimen injuria were recorded.
