The record has received numerous complaints that residents cannot reach the police station by any numbers that are listed. Through investigation, the record found that unanswered telephone calls are not the problem; rather, it seems several wrong numbers for the Florida Police Station are listed online.
At least four different numbers for the station have been found online, including 011 672 2121, 011 472 3701, 011 472 3750 and 011 831 7000. Each number was tested. Phone calls to the first two numbers resulted in a “not in service” message. The third number rang continuously for more than two minutes and has not been confirmed as an official station number.
However, it has been confirmed that 011 831 7000 is the correct number to dial to reach the station. All phone calls made to the number were answered within 30 seconds of ringing.
Residents are urged to keep an updated list of emergency contact numbers and to ensure that the numbers are correct.
