A Roodepoort North resident, Stephan Myburgh has launched a beauty pageant he hopes will promote nature conservation.

According to Myburgh Miss Nature Conservation SA will be a leadership educational programme and an upliftment project aiming to identify and educate young women of all ages who have a passion for nature and animal conservation.

“These green ambassadors will be trained to educate the youth of South Africa about nature and animal conservation as well as recycling,” says Myburgh.

“The pageant wants to empower young South African women with the knowledge and platform to create a sustainable difference in our fight to combat the destruction of our natural heritage. Most of the proceeds raised through our pageant will be used for nature conservation purposes,” says Myburgh.

The pageant will take place on 7 December. For more information Myburgh can be contacted on 074 807 7750 or at info@missnatureconservation.co.za.
