Current crime trends in Witpoortjie

The West Suburbs Roodepoort Neighbourhood Watch details the latest crime trends in Witpoortjie.

After two dogs have been poisoned in Witpoortjie, the West Suburbs Roodepoort Neighbourhood Watch (WSRNW) informs residents of the current crime trends.

Two dogs were poisoned and subsequently two motorcycles stolen from a house in Kompanjie Avenue on 2 October.

“We urge residents to park their motorcycles out of view and to ensure they are properly enclosed,” says Frik van Zyl, WSRNW spokesperson in a press statement. He adds that housebreakings throughout the day remain a concern.

WSRNW urges residents to join the neighbourhood watch at its community meeting every other Monday.

“It is vital for us to circulate information and discuss problems as soon as it is noted to enable us to take action,” said Van Zyl.
