Westview Clinic feels the pinch

Clinic appeals for help.

Westview Clinic has not escaped the economic downturn of the last few years.

According to Anthea Barriel who is the clinic’s public relations manager, resources are drying up fast. This has resulted in a serious financial shortfall.

“Throughout this difficult period the management and staff of the clinic have ensured that the quality of care to our patients has not been compromised; but we have reached a point where the need for additional funding has become critical and urgent,” says Barriel.

“We kindly appeal to the community to assist us with any financial donations. All contributions will be highly appreciated. Another way of contributing could be to adopt some of the clinic’s operational costs (such as tyres for our vehicles, daily necessities such as meat, bread and milk) or any other way members of the public would like to help.

“We also continue to provide free treatment, counselling sessions and awareness events, as well as continuing with Project Hope, our social responsibility endeavours in the communities we serve,” says Barriel.

Donations of R1 000 or more qualify for a Section 18A Certificate since the clinic is a Level 2 BBBEEE organisation. Points can be earned for a company’s scorecard.

“Westview Clinic has a long history as a vital role player in helping people and their families affected by alcohol and drug addiction. It therefore would be a sad loss for the community should the clinic be unable to continue its operations,” says Barriel.
