Residents have been enquiring sector police telephone numbers as some claim the ones they have are not operational.
Spokespersons for Florida Police Station, Lydia Dikholomel, and Roodepoort Police Station, Nonhlanhla Khumalo have confirmed the following numbers.
As far as Florida is concerned the following numbers can be called for Sector 1: 071 675 4455, 071 675 7148 or 071 675 7149 for problems North of Ontdekkers Road. This include areas such as Constantia Kloof, Florida North, Florida Hills, Floracliffe, Quellerina, Florida Glen, Bergbron, Whiteridge, Northcliff Ext 19 / 25, Kloofendal and Delarey.
Problems in Sector 2, which consists of areas South of the railway to Ontdekkers Road, can be reported on 071 675 3777, 071 675 7142, 071 675 7143, 071 675 7145 and 071 675 7146. This includes areas such as Randleases, Fleurhof, Fleurhof New Development, Lea Glen, Robertville, Florida Lake, Hamberg, Wibsey Dip (Highgate), Stormill, Maraisburg, Florida CBD, Florida, Florida Ext, Florida Park, Ontdekkers Park, Selwyn and Discovery.
In Roodepoort the following numbers are now official.
Residents in Sector 1, which includes Roodekrans, Wilro Park, Witpoortjie, Princess and Groblers Park, can call 071 6757126 or 071 675 7127.
Residents in Sector 2, which covers the areas of Helderkruin, Kloofendal, Horison, Discovery, Ondekkers Park, Roodepoort North and Westgate, can call 071 675 5130 or 071 675 7131.
Problems in Sector 3, which consists of Roodepoort CBD, Davidsonville, Creswell Park, Geogenia, Durban Deep, Matholesville and Solplaatjie, can be reported on 071 675 7132 or 071 675 7135.
Finally residents in Sector 4, consisting of Vlakfontein, Tshepisong, Emnandini, Lufhereng and Slovoville, can phone 071 675 7129 or 071 675 7139.
